Our History
hockeyjerseyoutlet.com was founded in 1993. We began by selling hockey jerseys and custom apparel out of our basement. For approximately the first ten years we reinvested all of the profits back into growing our inventory. Gradually we added on some soccer and baseball inventory. Soon the jerseys took over our laundry room, the basement, most of our garage, a shed, a second larger shed and finally ...we opened a retail store in Mundelein, IL. The Internet boom allowed us to ditch the retail store several years ago and we currently focus exclusively on Internet sales.
hockeyjerseyoutlet.com is an American small business - 100% family owned and operated. When you buy from us you are not making millionaires richer (think NHL.com). My wife and I both drive Fords – not a Rolls Royce or Bentley in the family.
The majority of our jersey profits for the last 10 years have been paid to the Big 10. Specifically Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and the University of Wisconsin (Go Bucky!) – helping our 2 kids graduate college without acquiring mountains of debt.
